Where is your headshot photography studio located in West Auckland?
My studio is conveniently located at 214 Royal Road, West Auckland (just off the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) with easy roadside parking, making your visit stress-free.

What makes your headshot & personal branding sessions different?

Unlike many photographers, I offer a wide variety of looks tailored to your personal brand. My West Auckland headshot studio has multiple background options, from classic white, grey, and black for a clean corporate style, to textured and customised backdrops for a more relaxed, approachable feel. I also provide a range of furniture and props — including chairs, coffee tables, plants, an office set-up, and even a window shutter look — so your photos can reflect the exact image you want to project. What facilities do you offer at your studio?

My studio is set up to make your session as comfortable and stress-free as possible. You’ll have access to a private changing room and bathroom facilities, along with a range of hair grooming essentials such as hairspray, hair straighteners, root powder spray, and instant beard touch-up gel. For extra finishing touches, I also provide a selection of men’s ties and pocket squares, plus a lint remover to ensure you look your best in front of the camera.

How quickly will I receive my photos?
You’ll usually receive your proof images the same day, with final retouched images delivered within 24–48 hours.

Do you offer professional photo retouching?

Yes — all of my professional headshot photography sessions include expert retouching to ensure you look your best while still completely natural. My retouching process covers lightening under the eyes, removing blemishes, tidying stray hairs, adjusting clothing where needed, and applying subtle skin smoothing that keeps real texture intact. The result is a polished, professional image with zero “plastic” look — perfect for LinkedIn, corporate profiles, or personal branding.

Can I see my photos during the session?
Absolutely. I have a large 32inch monitor and I encourage clients to review their photos during the shoot so we can adjust poses, lighting, or expressions to ensure you’re happy with the results.

I’m nervous about being photographed—can you help?
Of course! With 20 years of experience in direction and lighting, I create a warm and friendly environment where you can feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera.

What should I wear to my headshot or personal branding session?
I recommend bringing a couple of outfit options that reflect your style and profession to your headshot session & multiple outfits to your branding session. Solid colours, clean lines, and minimal busy patterns work best.

Do you provide natural light and studio lighting options?
Yes – I use both natural and professional studio lighting depending on the look you want.

I need a photo for a large billboard or bus advertisement — will the file size be big enough?

bsolutely. I photograph with a professional Nikon Z8 45.7MB camera, which produces very high-resolution images with exceptional colour and detail. The files are more than large enough for billboards, bus advertising, posters, and other large-format print, ensuring your headshot or branding image looks sharp and professional at any size.

How long does a headshot session take and can I bring two outfits?
Most sessions take around 30 minutes and yes absolutely feel free to bring a backup outfit.
